Disability access

The Department of Communities and Justice is working towards providing better access to court buildings and facilities for people with disabilities.

If you have a disability, contact the Children's Court you need to attend to find out about access options available to you. Some services may be available to make it easier for you to attend court. For example, the court can arrange for an infra-red hearing loop to be available on the day of a court hearing.

To let the court staff know what access you require and what support you intend bringing to a particular hearing complete the Request for court assistance form and submit it to the court you need to attend.

If you are collecting an infrared hearing loop, contact the court registry a few days before you attend to confirm that it has been ordered.
